Peter and I had a busy weekend starting from a Friday night xmas party through to Sunday selecting motorcycles. We attended 2 Christmas parties, did Christmas stuff (shopping, cards, travel planning), and attended the Seattle Motorcycle Show.
The parties were 'ok'... though I would have preferred staying home and watching It's a Wonderful Life rather than making conversation with people whom I only see a couple times per year. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas (it is by far my favorite holiday) but the specialness of this time of year means spending time with family and close friends, sipping hot chocolate w/ marshmallows, and deciding whether to eat last years candy canes or buy new ones.
Saturday was spent at Bellevue Square to get a few things... what would normally have taken just over an hour turned in to a 4 hour major event. Mall shopping just weeks before December 25th... need I say more?!?
Yesterday faired a bit better. Peter and I woke up early, had breakfast at Julia's in Wallingford and then went to pick up our wedding photos from our Daniel Sheehan, our wedding photographer. We chose Daniel Daniel because of his photojournalistic style which captures moments as they happen rather than asking people to pose for shots. The album he put together really told the story of our wedding day.
After leaving Freemont, we went to Seahawks Stadium to see the motorcycle show. Peter first introduced me to cars (thanks to him I now desire Astin Martin's Vaquish) and now motorcycles. I sat on a few to try them out... most are out of my comfort level but I did try the Ducatti 620 which fit nicely. What can I say, I have expensive taste.
After the weekend I am sitting in my office thankful I can keep my door shut and just work quietly.
